Riveted VLOM Mod

So I've done this once before with another engine only it was the bolt style VLOM not the riveted one, I am currently working on one with riveted VLOM, in one of the videos you show a mod where the solenoids can just be removed instead of banging out the pieces of gasket, so I've done that but then I caught a mention in another video about having to put in resistors or something so the ecm stays in tune with the mod, what exactly needs to be wired after removing the solenoids?

OK Charles, thanks. -22 Celsius this morning, garage is heated but truck outside. Gonna be a cold, slow, rebuild I think today.

OK. So as I initially thought, if tune done, then OK electrically and then with the solenoids removed, that addresses the mechanical part of not building oil pressure, correct?

The only reason I want to make sure its OK to put back together without the solenoids is because I broke the end off one of the solenoids when removing. So if they need to go back in and function I'm not sure they would function properly.

In hind site, I shoulda just banged out the pieces of gasket and been done.

ECM on its way back from LT1 swap so assuming tune will be done correctly.

You won't need to do anything with resistors if the tune has AFM properly disabled.
The only reason I mess around with removing solenoid's is to allow me to reduce shipping weight. I also add resistors to give the person who purchases it from me the option to drive it to a tuner shop if that's the option they choose.
